Why Sport is Important

Playing sport teaches our children the six leadership skills;

  • 1. Be a team player.

  • 2. Play by the rules.

  • 3. Win graciously.

  • 4. Lose graciously.

  • 5. Listen to the coach.

  • 6. Develop your own skills.

That’s why it is so important to encourage our children to play sport.

Let your child talk with you about what sport they would like to play.

Even a ‘non-sporty’ child needs to play sport to learn these six leadership skill.

Encourage your teenage daughter to keep playing a sport, for often they tend to drop out during this stage of their development.
