Teach Them to Take a Risk

08-Sep-2014

Some children are very fearful about taking risks.

Yet we only achieve in life by taking risks!

Sometimes their biggest fear may be to make a mistake and know they will be growled at.

Or they may be a perfectionist type of personality and only do new things if they know they can do the right the first time.

Encourage your children to try some risks, like:

Make new friends.

Try a new food.

Practice a new skill.

Ask a question in class.

So help and encourage your child to get comfortable with giving it a go.

Let them know that it's okay to make mistakes while they are learning.

Mistakes are okay – they can be fixed.

It will give them the confidence to step out of their comfort zone.

You see, we only succeed in life when we take risks.

We need to teach our children how to take smart risks.
