Ask Your Children at Bedtime

Ask your children at bedtime, “What are you going to wear tomorrow?”

And then as they get up,”What are you wearing today?”

Then say,”You know what will really make you look good?’

To clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

When we put on compassion, we become more aware of the needs of others and have a desire to do something about it.

Kindness helps us to speak and act in a way that is understanding and considerate.

When we dress up in humility, we put others first.

Gentleness helps us to speak in a way that is soft and mild.  And patience makes us wait calmly...even when it's inconvenient.

Those are the ‘garments of the mind and heart’ that never go out of style.
