Ian Grant sweeps the Congress as Keynote Speaker

He had them rolling in the aisles. He had them scribbling notes and nodding in agreement. He had them in tears and screaming for more. In just twenty five minutes Ian stole the show with a well-scripted, well organised, punchy presentation that covered parenting styles, the place of government in our families, the responsibility of Dads to man-up and the concept of the newest Fathers Who Dare Win initiative, The Smoko Pack.

700 delegates gathered to hear a hugely impressive line up of key note speakers and a plethora of other specialists speaking at workshops over the four day conference. Fathers Who Dare Win Chief Executive, Scott Milne and his wife Jennie ran a workshop on Faithfulness and Intimacy in Marriage and Mary Grant did a presentation of The Faithbox for Faith for Families.

It was an excellent learning experience too, for Ian and Scott who both came away refreshed with current global thinking and a plethora of new ideas. It was also made abundantly clear, too, that our primary challenge still lies with supporting Dads to be better fathers; that the timing of the establishment of the new parenting organisation is perfect and that it is possible to make a difference
